M.A.C didn't do any editorial image for the magazines and therefore, I will do research on different layouts from the magazines of the other brands and also for the style of editorial image, I will combine the idea from M.A.C advertisement images style to adjust and create two editorial looks.
On below I have looked at different magazines and see how different brands layout their works. This will help me to understand and give me the idea of how to layout my editorial images.
GQ Magazine -
I have looked at GQ magazine and looked at different layout from different brands.
The two layouts on above shares the same idea where the page includes the name of the brand and also for the layout, the editor has left some white spaces around the image and I think this layout shows the brand name and their image clearly to the audience.
The two images on above features a full double page spread and I like the way how the brand logo is in the image as well.
The image on above shows that the editor has left some spaces at the bottom and has added the brand logo and their website on the page.
The image on above is just included a full length layout on one page of a double paged spread and the editor has included the brand's logo.
I have also looked at ELLE's magazine as well.
The layout on above shows an image layout across the double paged spread and the editor has left some white spaces around the image and has included the brand's logo. I think this layout looks like the works show in an exhibition and it looks very clear and simple.
The layout on above shows the editor has put the editorial image on the top half and a bit bigger than the bottom part. It has included the company's name and the website of the brand.
The layout on above shows the image is layout in the middle of the page and the brand's logo and their website are placed underneath. The layout looks simple but I think there are too much white spaces on the page.
The layout on above shows a full double page image across the page and on the side, the white words show the information of the outfits and the styles.
I have looked at AnOther magazine.
The image on above shows a double paged spread with different image on two side, one of the is a black and white image and one of them is in color. The editor has included the brand's logo on one side of the page and and on the right, the editor has left some space to put in the logo.
The editor has overlapped two images in the middle and I like how the image has got different color as well. The editor has included the website's name on the side of the picture making it layout vertically while the brand's logo is in the other side .
The layout on above shows a very unique style and is quite different to the other layout styles. I found this layout interesting as it looks unique and catches my eyes.

The layout shows the same model but in different pose and it has included the logo of the brand.
I found the layout on about quite unique and different and I like the way how it is on one page and a bit on the other page. The editor has included spring and summer 14 and the brand's website with lines under the words which matches the background as well.
