Ideas for the shoot:
Pastel Colors, Dolly Lashes (SS16 make-up trends)

By combing the two make-up trends, pastel colors and false lashes, it reminds me of the 1960s and the supermodel, Twiggy in the 60s. During 1960s, it is popular for young women to wear matte eye shadows and pastel colors eye shadow is one of the biggest trends at that time. The baby doll look is popular and Twiggy has got the features of baby doll face. Twiggy is a supermodel and her make-up and hairstyle has influences a lot on the fashion trends at that period of time. The false lashes is popular during that time as it helps to makeup the eyes bigger to match the dolly look. Twiggy's iconic make-up look is the drawn on lashes under the lower lash line and also the eyeliners on the socket of the eyes. For my editorial look 1, I have decided to do a dolly look and create a modern version from the make-up and hair trends from the 1960s and take inspirations from the pastel colors and false lashes which are on trends in 2016. This idea of creating a modern version of a historical look links to M.A.C designs and works as the brand sometimes reference historical looks and use their creativity to create a modern version.

Model Choice:
Model: Mihaela Solomei
I have chosen Mihaela as my editorial shoot 1 (Dolly look) model because I like the way she has got big eyes which will fit in the film of the dolly look. I also like the way she has got short hair as the other models I have got for the shoots in this project have long hairs. Mihaela comes from Italy and as M.A.C uses models from different countries, this will help me to show how the brand considers different people from different cultural backgrounds.
Another reasons that I ask Mihaela to be my model is that her hair color is like a pastel pink color at the moment which will fit in the idea of my shoot of using pastel colors (links to the SS16 make-up trends).

Mood board:
On above, I have created a mood board for my editorial look 1. On the top left image, I have put a model with fake lashes on which shows how I am going to use fake lashes to show the S/S 2016 make-up Trends. Next to it, I have researched an image with a dolly like pose which I'm going to do for my shoot. I want my model to wear a shirt like this as well. I have included a blue color flower headband as I want to use it on the neck. Beside it, I have put a pair of earrings which I want to use for this editorial look. I have also placed Twiggy's photo as she is my inspirations for the look ( Hair, make-up). I am going to use french nail designs as well. On the bottom right corner, I have found an image where the model looks like a doll and with strong color blush which is what I want my model to look like on the shoot. The pastel pink and the white color from the background is my idea for the look.
