Tricks of the Trade# Techfile

In this lesson, I have chosen a make-up look to do it on a model and apply the techniques we have learnt from the previous lesson. I have made some changes from the look on above and did a make-up look on my model.

Equipments:
  • Cleanser, toner, moisturizer
  • A cape
  • Cotton pads
  • Baby buds
  • Matte primer
  • Bobbi brown foundation stick
  • Illamasqua loose powder
  • A puff
  • Kryolan concealer palette
  • Screenface matte eyeshadow palette
  • Illamasqua blush palette
  • Kryolan lip palette
  • Seventeen Contour palette
  • Illamasqua contour palette
  • Maybelline mascara
  • Disposable mascara
  • Eyelash curler
  • Rimmel clear lip gloss
  • Foundation brush
  • fine brushes
  • Eye shadow brushes
  • Blush brush
  • Lip brush
  • Angle brush
  • Contour brush

Directions:

  1. Cleanse, tone and moisturizer the model's face.
  2. Apply the matter primer to the face.
  3. Use the foundation that matches the model's skin tone and blend the foundation with a foundation brush.
  4. Conceal the under eyes and cover the blemishes.
  5. Use a puff to apply the loose powder to the face to set the makeup.
  6. To match my model's brow color, I have mixed brown and grey color together and apply it on the brows with an angle brush. Because the photo on above follows the model's natural brow shape and so I did the same as well.
  7. Contour the face. I have applied contouring under the cheekbones, jawline, nose and around the headlines.
  8. Apply highlight on the forehead, cheeks, bridge of the nose, chin, cupids bow and on the brow bone.
  9. I have used an orangey matte eye shadow on the lid and apply it under the lower lower lashes as well. After that, I have applied a dark brown color on the eye crease and outer v area and extended a bit of the color onto the lower lash line as well.
  10. Curl the model's lashes and apply mascara on the upper and lower lashes with a disposable mascara.
  11. Apply a pink peachy color on the cheeks.
  12. After that, use a brownish red color for the lips.
  13. To finish the look, use the clear lip gloss and apply it on both eye lids.

Model: Liliana

To make the look more similar to the photo, I can use a more orangey color eye shadow to create a more bold and sharp color on the lids. Also to improve next time, I can apply more contour on the face as well.
