Advertisement Look 1 Idea (Day Look) - Product Choice, 5 P's, Analyzing The Product and Model Choice

Chosen collection : M.A.C Modern Twist Kajal Liner 

For my advertisement look 1, I have decided to choose the Modern Twist Kajal Liner as my inspiration for the shoot. On below is the advertisement image for the product.

Price Point:
Theproduct costs £14.00 and by comparing to other brand, the cost of the eyeliner is in the
middle range as it is not too expensive but also not cheap. It is afforadable to consumers 
and I think if the product is good, nowadays, people are willing to pay more for good 
quality products. 

Packaging and Presentation:

The packaging of the product looks very simple with their iconic color black for the eyeliners. Like the way how the end part of the eyeliner shows the color of the product which provides more information to the consumers about the product they are purchasing.

I like the way on above, the advertisement image focuses on the model's eyes and it stands out the eyeliners which she was wearing. The typography of the words looks modern and it doesn't distract the eyeliner but the white color of the words also stand out as well. The pink smoke effect gives a very stylish effect and makes the eyeliner stand out as it goes around the eye. The model has dark skin tone and I like the way there is a light shining onto the skin and eye area which gives the message to the consumers that it is an eyeliner advertisement. The eyeliner is a modern version of the 60s graphic liners which links to the name and the theme of the product. When designing my interpretation for this product, I should consider this element and idea to present the product.

At first, I went to M.A.C store to find out which collection of eyeliners they are selling at the moment and I have found out that they have got 9 different collections in the store. 

The one which catches my eye is the Modern Twist Kajal Liner collection as it is displayed in a separate are with an image of a model with bold black graphic liner focusing on her eye. The collection has got 13 different colors.

After that, I'm thinking which eyeliner color I want to use for my advertisement look? 

My model: Chloe Hall

I have chosen Chloe as my model for this eyeliner advertisement shoot as I think M.A.C considers different skin tone and people from different cultures, I want to use a model with dark skin tones. Chole is 25 years old and it fits the age range of the model I'm looking for. Therefore, when I'm thinking which color eyeliners should I buy for the shoot, I have tried out the colors on my hands to see which one looks better. Because I want the eyeliner to stand out from Chloe's skin tone, I have decided to choose the polar white color as I think this will help to create a bold and sharp color on the skin.

Modern Twist Kajal Liner #Polar Ice 

I have tried the eyeliner on my hand when I was at the store. The texture is soft and smooth when I try the color on my hand. The white color looks bold and I think it will be nice if I use this to create graphic eyeliner look for my shoot.The color stays on a long time and do not smudge. On above is a photo of me trying the eyeliner on my hand. The color they offers in this collection shows modern colors which are bold and clean.
