Val Garland - Make-up Artist

Val Garland is a make-up artist who works in London and she was trained to be a hair colorist in Sydney Australia. She interests in colors and through her works and designs, you can see the way she uses colors effectively and express her ideas through the use of colors on her designs. She works with M.A.C many times for their collections and she also collaborates with many other big brands as well. I found out that Val Garland's works link to M.A.C as the way she likes to experiment with different colors which M.A.C does as well and also the way she is being a creative, artistic and innovative artist, it fits in with M.A.C's company ideas. Take from example, the photo on above reminds me of the Pop Art Paintings and Garland has taken inspirations from the art cultures in the past. This links to M.A.C as the brand's works also reflects historical backgrounds and also M.A.C likes to do something new and interesting and therefore, they sometimes combine the ideas of historical looks with their creativity and create a new modern version of the historical looks. I found Garland's works very inspiring and they inspires me the ideas of color matching.
