Creating Volume With Hair - Blow Dry # Techfile

Equipments:

• Hair dryer
• Round brushes
• Serum
• Towels 
• A comb
• A paddle brush
• Sectioning clips
• Heat protector
• Dry shampoo

In order to create the blow dry hairstyle, I have washed my model's hair before getting started. After I have washed my model's hair, I have applied serum which will helps to create shine and gives beautiful finish. Remember to remove 80% of the water from the hair first and then start to use the brushes to create styles. For the hairstyle, you can also use hair moose to style the hair but remember do not put too much hair moose as it will make the hair greasy. You can apply the hair moose to the mid length and the end of the hair, then run through the hair with your fingers. After finished the hairstyle, spray dry shampoo will help the hair create shine and soft texture.

Matt Sea Spray

To create more volume for the hairstyle, before drying the hair, you can use product such as the Matt Sea Spray which is shown on above.

1st Style - Sleek Straight Hairstyle
You can use a Denman brush or a Paddle brush to create sleek straight hairstyle.

Directions:

1. First, use a comb to comb the hair and get rid of the tangles of the hair. 
2. Then, put some of the blinding shine serum onto your hands and run through the hair with the products using your hands and fingers. 
3. After that, spray the heat protector onto the hair to protect the hair from the heat damage. 
4. Make sure 80% of the water has been removed from the hair before starting to create the hairstyle.
5. Then, section the hair. Start from the bottom and work upwards. 
6. Remember work in small sections at once and don't take too thick hair. The hair shouldn't be wider than the brush. Grab a small section of hair and then place the paddle brush at the bottom of the hair section. Dry the roots of the hair first and use the hair dryer to dry the top part of the roots and the bottom part as well. After that, move onto drying the middle part and the end part of the hair. Lift the hair up when drying and the hair dryer should face towards yourself. When drying the middle section and the end part of the hair, brush through the hair and repeat the same actions until the hair is dry.

2nd Style - Curl, Volume Hairstyle

Directions:

1. First, use a comb to comb the hair and get rid of the tangles of the hair. 
2. Then, put some of the blinding shine serum onto your hands and run through the hair with the products using your hands and fingers. 
3. After that, spray the heat protector onto the hair to protect the hair from the heat damage. 
4. Make sure 80% of the water has been removed from the hair before starting to create the hairstyle.
5. Then, section the hair. Start from the bottom and work upwards. When sectioning the hair, divide the hair into front and back parts. Then, section the hair into triangle points. 
6. For this time, in order to create curls, use a round brush to create the style. First, take small section of hair and place the round brush under the hair and then start drying the roots of the hair first. Then, moving on drying the middle part and the end part of the hair. When drying the middle section and the end part of the hair, brush through the hair and repeat the same actions until the hair is dry. Place the hair dryer towards yourself. 
7. To create the curls, place the round brush to the end part of the hair first and then roll the hair up. After that, use the heat from the hairdryer to create curls. Make sure the hair is hot enough to create the curls before removing the hair from the brush. 
   
   
8. After that, you can use a sectioning clips or pins to secure the curls and hold them in place. Remember not to brush through the hair as the curls will not stay. 
9. Finally, after finish drying the hair, you can spray dry shampoo to create soft and nice finish. Backcombing can also be used to create more volume on the hairstyle.

I found it quite challenging to blow dry the hair but after practicing more times, I understand more the ideas and it gets better than my first attempt.
